The hotel had clean and spacious rooms, but suffered from poor sound insulation, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. The service was mostly unfriendly, except for the pleasant housekeeping staff. The location was convenient for tourists, close to downtown Monterey and Carmel, but some areas were under renovation.
